The money-over-people attack on our country's democratic system is absolutely the most important and horrible issue of our era.

Thank you for keeping track of it.

Here's an example of a company, Patagonia, using its position to help democracy: https://lat.ms/2RGwNiv

As long as people count on corporations to do the right thing, I fear we're going to get similar results as these. These companies are doing what's best for them, not you or me or even the long-term global economy. When relentless pursuit of capital is the raison d'être, these firms will stoop to anything for the sake of an advantage.

Judd, Awesome! Thank you so much. This is *important* research, critical to the Rule of Law and American Democracy capital D. Keep pushing. I'm promoting all your fine work. ❤️

We need to support a pathway and funding to have these exposes posted as full/half page ads in Washington Post, NYT, etc. While PI information is spread through other journalists, nothing exceeds like excess and big a** ads would get their attention. Make it blatantly hard for them to ignore or not respond.

Judd, how would we support you in an endeavor such as noted. Please explore the possibilities. Your methods are unique, progressive and inspiring. Lets take the next step and ramp up the pressure on these corporations. Poll your readers to see if they would support an ad campaign. I certainly would. And it would draw new subscribers to this newsletter.

I am all for running ads, billboards, etc. But there are also inexpensive and easy ways to get the word out! Check out: https://stopthemoneypipeline.com/takeover-chase/ The idea is to leave negative, truthful reviews on yelp, google maps, etc. about what the company is doing (in this case it was about funding climate change, but it's easy to use this approach for funding sedition). We did this as an online Zoom party and it was a blast. The reviews, with pics, were seen thousands of time. For other ideas, check out some of the digital actions being taken for Stop Line 3 movement (mass emails to CEO's, petitions, etc.) This can be done!

Politics is the practice of dividing people by hatreds. Politics has nothing to do with good governance. The job of a politician is to get elected. To do this, they require "wedge" issues. And over the years these "wedge" issues have become more contrived & perverse, e.g. COVID : Political Germ-Warfare. Good governance requires sincerity, cooperation, & the _occasional_ compromise.

Politics is diametrically opposed to good governance. And, historians might wonder if democracy is just an ephemeral step between tyrannies.

Pester those who represent you in Congress, and those who aspire to, to repeal the onerous Apportionment Act of 1929 and provide for a House that expands with the population. Failure to do so for > a century is a root cause of much dysfunction in our Federal government. USA is among the LEAST representative democracies on the planet.

Who says our country isn’t owned by corporations and driven by profit above all else? It doesn’t have to be this way but to make it stop, we must tax individuals to pay for our politicians and stop ALL MONEYS from everywhere else. How many of our current politicians would want their jobs if they couldn’t get rich off them? Honest ones with integrity would be the only ones left who wanted the job. Now wouldn’t that be more like “democracy” than what we have now?

Do these corporations also donate to Democrats? A comparison of donationss would be interesting to see.

Despite Corporations being considered as entities by the Supreme Court, they are really not like human entities that have complex thoughts. Their focus is pretty much on the big investors and their often-bloated BOD. But then in our ever-evolving Idiocracy, fewer humans charged with the responsibility of governing us are capable of complex thoughts such as thinking about long term issues as survival of democracies or the survival of the planet. Corporations are a reflection of the awful leadership of which they play a big part.

Apparently you have a full time job checking what corporations say they will commit to versus what they actually do. No wonder people get cynical after a while following the (factual) news.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but I thought it was 35 Republicans, not 6, who voted for the bill.

I believe what he's saying is that out of the 147 R's that voted against certification of the Electoral College specifically, 6 of them voted for the bipartisian commission/investigation bill.

Thank you, Dan. That explains it.
