On Saturday, Trump called Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger (R) and, for about an hour, pressed Raffensberger to overturn the election results and declare Trump the winner. The key passage comes in the second half of the call when Trump appears to threaten Raffensberger (and the general counsel of Raffenberger's office, Ryan Germany) with criminal prosecution if they don't "find" 11,780 votes — the precise number Trump says is needed to flip the outcome.
Sadly, I don't think that anything will happen to him. He mocked the disabled. That didn't matter. He said "Grab them by the p-ssy". That didn't matter. He tried to blackmail a foreign government for dirt on a political opponent. That didn't matter. He admitted that he lied about Covid, which has killed hundreds of thousands in this country. That didn't matter. He had unarmed social justice protesters gassed so that he could take a photo op with a bible in front of a church he has never attended. That didn't matter.
This won't matter to those who support him, either.
