Don't even talk to me until I've had my morning hydroxy.

Wow. Just, wow. There is no connection between these people and reality. NONE. We need to get them as far away from a position of authority/power as soon as is possible. November 3rd can't get here soon enough.

Very proud to be a supporter of yours, Judd. Your investigative journalism has been most successful and I am proud to share your reporting.

The hypocrisy in Trump’s COVID response and his eventual treatment regimen is no surprise to those of us grounded in reality. Will his MAGA’ts see this reality? I doubt it. That’s why it’s defined as a cult.

Who in the VA is responsible for making that $2 million purchase of "approximately 6,339,700 tablets of hydroxychloroquine" with taxpayer money?

You’ve got to love these guys...one thing for the masses and something else entirely for the 1%.

First-hand experience: My 93 yr old father tested positive for Covid on July 27. He was asymptomatic.

I brought him to my home from assisted living, as the only other choice was a Covid-only facility.

Fortunately, a test run later that week was negative.

Still, in the days between the 2 tests, we assumed he had Covid. I frantically raced to do what we could for him and to protect my partner and I.

Several well-meaning, right-leaning friends urged me to get him hydroxy.

I asked my cousin, who's a PA in NY, about that drug.

This is what she said about hydroxy in late July:

"I take it everyday for lupus to keep me alive. If taken early in the course of covid it probably helps. It’s not helpful when people start getting very ill.

I’ve treated elderly people who had mild colds and those who developed a fever and ended up in the ICU within 24 hours. It’s so hard to predict.

Monitor his temp. If someone is willing to treat him with Zithromax and/or hydroxychloroquine I’d put him on it. That’s what we do with inpatients."

(Note in particular the “probably helps" part.)

My takeaway: Scrambling to help Covid patients, with as yet no proven treatment for this disease that's new to humans, some docs try Hydroxy and/or Zithromax. We are in uncharted territory, with a swirl of info that changes daily.

That being said, there was no factual basis for Trump to tout hydroxy as a cure or a prophylactic.

I believe you misspelled the hydroxy doctor's name. Their Twitter handle spells it Immanuel, not Emmanuel.
