Again, a fine example of professionalism in journalism. Imagine what a world it would be if this was the norm. Superb work, Judd.

Another stunning report, Judd. Government officials must be held accountable at every level.

Do we think Speaker Sexton is beginning to regret acting like it was still 1840 in regards to the Justins? He seems to have invited very unwelcome scrutiny of not only himself, but of the rotten people who he surrounds himself with. May the wheels of justice crush them all, and serve as a warning to Republicans nationwide.

May the wheels of justice grind exceedingly fine this time. Start a trend maybe. Get the Party of Constant Criminals out of office and in the pokey where they belong.

One can dream right? (edit) Don't some dreams come true?

Judd’s investigation clearly shows that Sexton’s lies, cover ups and corruption are wide ranging. Sexton treats Tennessee as his personal fiefdom and he has successfully gotten away with it, until now. Thanks to Judd’s investigative skills the people of Tennessee now see Sexton for who he is. The question is- will Sexton be held accountable for his actions or will Tennessee continue to turn a blind eye to his corrupt behavior?

What's galling is that these people aren't even good liars. Campbell folded like a cheap suit when questioned about his sexual harassment. At least he resigned.

Sexton's explanations for the contradiction between where he lives and serves and now his cover-up of Campbell's misconduct are demonstrably false. We're waiting for your resignation, Mr. Speaker.

Wow. This is what journalism looks like. Thank you, Judd and team!

Speaking of state legislators run amok, any chance of turning an eye toward NC? Our Speaker/Senate leader run roughshod over us regardless of the purple-ness of the state. Today's nightmare: lightning scheduling of new 12-week abortion ban. Coming soon: even worse gerrymandering.

I have nothing to say, that I haven't said before. The crossroads of misogyny and racism go back to our pre-Civil War days. If Trump can rape a woman on a plane in front of a dozen first-class flyers (men) - and we do nothing, we have a BIGGER problem than a bunch a Neo-Nazi Wingnuts.

...“So yes, blame me. Blame me when you look around and see a dysfunctional political system and a Republican Party that has gone insane.” The book offers one overarching prescription for the GOP: “Burn it to the ground and start over.”

"Most Americans are coming around to an understanding that normalizing sexual predation represents an existential threat to the nation. White supremacy is — we should know by now — no less threatening. The harms in each are eerily similar.

Both cause direct pain, either in the lives of women or people of color. The promise of equal dignity on which the republic stands has been qualified, discounted or, in many cases, repudiated altogether."

-----------------

"But the people who really sustain misogyny and white supremacy are the quiet endorsers. Because they have the power to denounce the words, to reject the assumptions and, if necessary, to walk out of the room. They were the first to know and could have rallied — or become — the opposition.

And because so many of us have acted like quiet endorsers, Weinstein and Trump have the power they have (or, in Weinstein’s case, had)."

I suspect once Trump exposed there are absolutely no legal repercussions for lying to the America people, I expect every state Republican legislative body to do the same now except worse since they do know how to work the local system.

Great journalism! I have aha'd and guffawed through the antics of these Boss Sexton stories and it's unsurprising to learn his predecessor has muddy paws as well.

Sexual harassment is not taken seriously by the good ol' boys and neither is rape by the national party. # 45 the former president and current presidential candidate who is under civil suit trial for rape and state indictment for hush money to a porn star is the shining example of this behavior.

The Tennessee GOP leadership appears corrupt beyond belief. But then so does much of the GOP.

Keep on them!

A cleansing of the Republican-controlled Tennessee Legislature is long overdue. We residents of TN have had to endure the presence of these corrupt GOP legislators for far too long. As they say, a fish rots from the head down; let’s include our governor and two Senators in every future investigations as well.

PLEASE continue to expose these hypocrites who think and act as if rules and laws and morality need scrupulous guarding but not for them. Apparently they think they are the “ right” kind of people and it all doesn’t really apply to them. I wonder what they will do when someone in their family or the “right” circle needs an abortion or comes out as gay, etc. ? The constant exposure of this will eventually sink into the Fox cloud even if not reported there.

The day Boss Sexton kicked the two Justins out of the Tennessee Legislature, Ms. Karma put down her afternoon tea and said, “Hell No!”
