On Sunday, Popular Information broke the news that three major corporations — Marriott, BlueCross BlueShield, and Commerce Bank — were suspending PAC donations to the 147 Republicans who objected to the Electoral College vote. This newsletter uncovered this information by asking 144 companies if they planned to continue supporting the politicians who tried to overturn the election.
I saw this blowing up all over the news yesterday and I am proud to be a subscriber. Great work, Popular Information!! Keep holding their feet to the fire, "reviewing their policies" probably just means "hiding out till this all dies down"
This is excellent! I didn’t know this originated with you contacting all those companies. Job very well-done. What I love about this: posing this very pertinent question to such a large sample. It looks like your asking the question when you did, soon after the Capitol riot, started the wheels turning. And caused these corporations to step back from the rawness of the moment & thoughtfully evaluate the role they play / can play being either good or bad corporate citizens. Apart from their usual lobbying for their industries or product lines.
Thank you for your constantly up-to-date and fair criticisms of things occurring in our country. Particularly helpful are you comments on the way members of the Republican party have become complicit in the support of Donald Trump and his attempts at the destruction of our democracy. Keep up the good work.
Echoing the fabulous comments below. WELL DONE Popular Information! I read you first every morning before my feet hit the floor. You make me feel like an “insider” because I’m already aware of the days events!
Society must take a stand. Our gov requires a bipartisan system that respects, cooperates, and works towards the good of the people..not just themselves.
Brilliant strategy to take the attack on rule of law to the corporate sector. Make Members if Congress who flouted the electoral process feel the impact in loss of political contributions or at least threaten that possibility. Great work, Popular Information!
I saw this yesterday on the WA Post. That more companies have now responded and that your reporting was widely picked up speaks to both the power of the information and the trust you're building.
I'm honored to support Popular Information.Stay safe and keep going - you're strengthening our threatened democracy.

Judd, you're a true powerhouse and golden beacon leading the way toward responsible journalism.
In addition, you stand as a clear example and guide for responsible citizenship, I am proud to follow your lead.
(A little gushy, I know, but just saying 'Great Work!' doesn't really cut it anymore).
I can hear some Republican Congressional wallets screaming all the way out here in the boondocks...
WTG Judd and Tesnim! Rock on!
Thank you Judd. You continue to do outstanding work and we are very proud of you.

Thank you for your hard work in bringing a spotlight to this ... these corporations need to be held accountable.

Seeing as we can't count on Republicans to do the right thing, I'll settle for this turn of events. Good work, Judd.
