Judd- Thank you for investigating this important issue. You started something that is very important. Let’s hope the Tennessee papers stay on top of this. It is ridiculous for Sexton to assert that he lives in Crossville when his child attends school in Nashville.

HE's the one that should have been expelled from the Tenn House, not the Tenn Three clamoring for more gun control.

Are we seeing the arc of the moral universe bending, ever so slowly? Thank you Judd Legum- I hope the Tennessee media keeps on this.

Boom! Investigative journalism makes a difference!

This is why I, a construction worker from England, subscribe to PI. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Judd gets results!

Because I'm not a nice person, what does Tennessee law say about voter registration?

Because --

1. If he's registered in Crossville and votes in Crossville while he's living in Nashville, is that fraud?

2. His wife signed paperwork to get him on the ballot except she definitely is living in Nashville full time. Is she a legitimate Crossville voter?

And if not, did she commit perjury by lying about her residency on legal documents?

3. I believe he has older kids living at home -- where are they registered?

4. If Tennessee is like Maryland, your state taxes are lower depending on which county you live in. Which county did Sexton use?

I can see why Republicans think voter fraud is everywhere -- so many of them are guilty of it.

Great reporting. I have enjoyed every story. Often chuckling "Aha!" as the facts rolled out! Sexton is very unrepentant. His constituents need to have a recall election.

Keep up the good work!

Another pat on the back too, Jud. I read your interview with Substack Aaron Rapture and his fellow team mate Thor. Have also seen your coverage of this and Ron DeSantis in other Substacks

and news articles. Excellent!

Keep up the good work.👍🌦

And what about your mention in your first investigation of him not paying his property taxes in Crossville for two years? That’s pretty damning evidence IMO.

So very gratifying to read about the spotlight being put on this self-righteous hypocrite. How about some decorum, Speaker Sexton?? Knox County Tennessee resident and voter asking!

There’s lots of “opinion” out there these days. It belongs on the “Opinion” page and should always be labeled as such. Good investigative work as done by Popular Information is fact-based and belongs on the “Front” page! Investigative journalism which is thorough and truthful is becoming a rarity these days and in these times the public desperately needs it.

This brings up a good question of how many others in the legislature are doing the same thing. For this guy it is a two hour drive but for others it could be much longer. Either way they need to look at it realistically and figure out how to make it feasible to be a candidate and also to live away from home for 4 months. Lots of business folks have homes and jobs in different places all year round and commute so it is possible.
