RIP Trump's blog. It will not be missed.

Trump's readers can't read anyway. Website access harder media on the Internet. Had the dope boy made a Trump phone App, he would have done much better.

As for Texas Republicans and voting they can wiggle and squirm, but we know snakes when we see them. Voting on Sunday makes the Evangelicals cringe. They were trying the Ol' Blue law trick.

FB makes a killing on Ad revenue for things like Daily Wire. They won't stop.

Suck is a conservative mole pretending to be the new Caesar. Unfortunately he is doing a great job.

That would be Zuck. My Google phone truly is self aware. LoL. Even it knows what Zuckerberg is.

"Trump's popularity was artificially boosted by Facebook and Twitter's algorithms..."

And the establishment press that reported them because the insignificant increase in revenues was more important to them than providing honest context in their reporting on Trump. Arguably, the social networks did more harm but the media were very complicit as well.

"Facebook, however, "shelved the basic research" partly due to concerns that "proposed changes would have disproportionately affected conservative users and publishers.""

As Judd notes and Kevin Roose notes daily, conservative voices are apparently dominant on Facebook. There's been reportage that while Facebook does shut down some of the more unhinged conservative sites, they also endemically shut down *legitimate* leftist pages. So, you know, a disproportionate affect to conservative sites is in fact warranted presuming, as is doubtful, Facebook has any interest in removing some of the toxicity they force into peoples' feeds. Then again, considering that top management is controlled by conservatives -- Thiel, Zuckerberg and Brown, for three -- one has to doubt Facebook's claims about toxicity.

The voter suppression and assault on democracy bills are truly frightening. For example, the Texas bill says that partisan judges could reverse the result of an election without any proof of fraud.

An Arizona bill would refer mismatches/variations in signatures for criminal prosecution.

My favorite line in this piece: "Trump clearly expected that millions of people would flock to his website for this kind of wisdom." I don't know about others but I NEED humor. [by the way, humor can be a sign of sanity--the mentally ill have a deficit in this area--perpective on absurdity.]

The Republicans will think up something just as odious so that they can "make up" for this provision being withdrawn.

This is a victory to be sure, however short lived, but we should keep in mind the bill is still quite heinous. As @jodotcom points out https://twitter.com/jodotcom/status/1400511639393296384?s=21

The change in Sunday hours is a minor concession. Helpful, yes. However, the most ominous part of TX SB 7 is making it easier for judges to throw out votes and overturn elections. It is going from "beyond a reasonable doubt", to a "preponderance of evidence". You should look this up, but I will paste here: "The preponderance of evidence standard comes into play when the plaintiff satisfies the burden of proof by offering evidence that demonstrates their claims have a greater than 50% chance to be true. " That is a VERY SUBJECTIVE standard in this context. You can do all of the "souls to the polls" and "get out the vote" and "win" the election, but that doesn't help if the authoritarians challenge the results and get a sympathetic judge to throw out the votes, based on their assessment of the "preponderance of the evidence." I don't want to throw judges under the bus, I think most are professional and try to be objective. But judges are human too, and they have been known to have bias. I think '22 and '24 have all the makings for a big disaster.

Evidence that when Democrats play hardball (ie: by Republican rules) they get things done! ALL Dems need to learn this lesson and FAST!

Didn't even know the orange goon started a blog. I LOVE the fact that he got zero traction and already abandoned ship. What a pathetic loser and I'm sure not being on social media is killing him. I personally love not being on social media anymore but I know it's eating away at him not getting those twitter likes. I hope that he remains banned for life.
