Reinforces the lesson - donate directly to the candidates you support, not to some outfit endlessly filling your inbox or spamming your texts with pleas to save the world from MAGA.

We have to get this Dark monies out of politics!!!! Voting needs to be done for and by the people, no businesses or corporations or PACS of any kind!!!

They shot themselves in the foot re: Matt Dunlap in Maine. His Republican opponent in November is the loathsome carpetbagger and foulmouthed former Governor Paul LePage. Matt is going to win. In a similar misreading of the mood of the feisty Maine electorate, the DCCC support for Matt’s lackluster, centrist primary opponent, Baldacci, was the kiss of death.

Yes, I wonder how many of the candidates they support will actually beat the Republican candidate? I know I won't be voting Republican and unless the candidate is a felon, a pedophile who hung out with Epstein and a six time failed businessman, I will be voting Democrat.

The billionaires are buying your votes but you can stop it. This information proves that television and social media advertisements should NEVER be trusted to be truthful. The FCC requires truthful advertising for products. It does not and has NEVER required political advertising to be truthful. Meet the candidates, go to their websites, look for endorsements from organizations you trust, and do not donate to the grifters and con men.

Which of these fake groups push divisive positions on social media, making Democrats appear more divided than they are? Do they support specific accounts on Threads and X?

This info deserves a haiku.

Candidates are cars.

Pop Info pops the hood and

Finds the truth. We cry.

As always, many thanks for revealing what is.

Mark Twain remarked (I'm paraphrasing) that sometimes a situation is so bad that profanity, and only profanity, is warranted as a reaction. You have managed to expand the choice of reaction to poetry. Congratulations! no sarcasm, just admiration.

Mark Twain is a hero of mine. Me in the same thought as him, I am humbled. Thank you.

The GOP approach to damn near everything appears to be: Cheat - Wash - Rinse - Repeat!

I am so grateful to you for tracking down the grift, Judd. This must change if any of us is to survive.

Katy Bolger's avatar

I wonder if the local news media picks up Judd's stories of dark money in their local races? Does the Gannet newspaper, The Journal News, in Westchester/Rockland Counties in New York read Popular Information? What this does is create riffs in intraparty politics and when or if Cait Conley wins/loses, she has been so damaged by these stories that her own party turns her back??

It is sick that all of this money flows into politics; money is not finite, so the choice to spend these obscene amounts to get a magats elected is sickening. Because "getting elected" means dirty and aggressive politics and the people suffer from disinformation and confusion. Great country.

Thank you for your continued vigilance and generally reporting what you do.

Thanks tor this research! Cait Conley is running in a congressional district near me. When I first saw the attack ad, I believed it came from a primary opponent. For awhile, I felt disappointed in the negative attack ad in the Democratic primary. Outrage and relief came with your reporting about the fake Republican PACS. Many are informing voters thanks to your great work!

And THIS is one of the reasons I refuse to give money to Any group calling itself a Democratic anything! I get shredded multiple times a day for dollar$ purporting to back candidates. From every state! Not only do I not have the money, I refuse to give to people from other states! It's so spam centered - this begging for buck$, Entire system needs complete overhaul!
