I'm glad you included the context about domestic soybean farmers bearing the brunt of the Trump administration's decisions. The bailout at taxpayer expense for the primary benefit of a hedge fund manager is bad enough, but that it’s hurting American workers should be a point of attack for Democrats.

The estimates on a farm bailout are almost as much as this Argentinian life preserver. This economy feels like jenga tower.

How much more corrupt can this administration get?! And when will all of this corruption break the right wing media bubble?

I don't know if anyone really wants to know the answer to your question. The corrupt stain of this maladministration seems to have no limits.

A Poem for the moment

While America’s corn ears all rot where they lay,

Money shoots out the ears of one man named Milie.

20 billion for friendship and oligarchs first.

20 million lose healthcare next year on the first.

I’m one of those 20 million. I have lived with Multiple Sclerosis and maintained overall health for twenty three years and continue to work part time thanks to intervention and expensive healthcare made possible and affordable since Obamacare. My insurance premiums subsidized at $69 per month will rise to over $1200 per month if the premium subsidies end. This is personal.

As always, keep beating the drum of truth, Judd. The little people appreciate it.

It’s not just me. I am sure there is someone in your town that is going to experience this. I actually write opinion columns for my local newspaper so I am heard. Media talks about the average persons monthly premiums costs being doubled, but for those of us with preexisting conditions that can be costly, folks like me are looking at not a 100% increase, but in my case possibly a1800% increase because the subsidies cease to exist. I’m not a costly MS patient, I don’t even take meds, but I could be costly in the future and I am being punished for what might happen making me more vulnerable in the moment while the real estate mob boss posing as President and his oligarch buddies gut our democracy and dump shit on our lives. Every day they dump a load of crap on our doorsteps. The only way out is through and the only way through is together, but damn, I’m tired.

I am so sorry to hear this from you. You should not be sick and have to deal with this. Write and submit to the NYT and get a wider coverage or, like Robert suggests, get your story out in other substacks. Dad, mom, granddad, grandma, sister, brother, husband, wife, children, all suffer when one person suffers. Be a poster child, speak out LOUDLY, or if you are too tired, have a loved one or associate do it for you. We need YOU to speak out.

I really appreciate this Katy. I’m in the process of gathering opinion columns and personal essays and poetry and letters to the editor from the last 40 years and publishing on my Substack. This is going to be a long process. Hopefully with an eye to book form.

There are reports that the bailout is contingent on Milei winning the next election. Anyway, it's nothing more than a way to launder money to a Trump crony, and to Trump himself who never does anything for free.

Boy, that quote by Trump just sums up his attitude toward his slash, burn, kill approach to government, and, I think, to his business and personal life: Don't worry, the bruises fade and what I just did to you, it's not gonna mean anything in the end.

It's always about more money for oligarchs. I'm thinking the whole Israel peace deal was actually arranged by Jared Kushner and his Arab buddy paying off Bibbi and planning future investments in the region to further enrich themselves and the Trump family.

How long do you suppose it will take for those soybean farmers to get angry that the money the Trump Administration just sent to Argentina belongs to American farmers? They "spend' tax dollars like they are their own private funding source. A gilded ballroom, really? (oh, right...he's paying for that himself, right after he pays E. Jean Carroll $83.5M and the State of New York $550M) A concrete rose garden? A WWE cage match on the WH lawn? How do any of these things help those soybean farmers? Why aren't they more angry that their government is frivolously spending their tax dollars on things that will never benefit them, while the breadlines they rely on to feed their families are defunded?

The 6th district of Virginia is represented by MAGA Ben Cline, aka Coward Cline, aka Spineless Cline, aka Where's Ben? We are the heart of the Shenandoah Valley and agriculture is dominant. Does Cline speak out? Hell no. He's so far up Trump's ass that he can't see daylight.

How does Trump have access to making these decisions and moving all of this money around? Through the Treasury Sec? So, it hasn’t been disbursed yet because, of course, Trump has added strings? Where is Congress and their role in appropriating funds? Can we even imagine the reaction if Biden had suggested this, without a personal payoff??

“There will be an avalanche of dollars,” Milei said in a radio interview shortly before traveling to the White House. “We’ll have dollars pouring out of our ears.”

As long as this guy and his buddy Citrone are happy, the fearsome pwesident twump is happy. Eff those foolish American farmers! They should have sold the farms and bought BitCoins. The billionaires say, "Let them eat beans."
