Why am I not surprised? Fans of the Queens real estate mob boss sundowning as President and his sycophantic administration and their self empretzeling Congress are always ripe for manipulation and abuse. As my mom would say, Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice (and again and again and again since 1980) shame on me.

As an authorized spokesman for Trumpist Visions, LLC, it has always been our understanding that anyone gullible enough to pre-order any of our amazing Trumpist products, is a silly fool, and deserves to be taken for everything we can squeeze out of them.

Mike McCabe's avatar

Anyone who ordered this phone is a sucker and gets no sympathy from me.

Frau Katze's avatar

This is Trump business failure # what?

Peter's avatar

We were promised a gold plated phone and what we got is a 22ft tall gilded statue at one of his crappy golf courses instead.

Crystal Nipp's avatar

Maybe they melted the phones down to make the statue?

Michael's avatar

Another day, another gilded grift. Anyone buying a Trump promise or product should have their head examined! Hard to imagine another two more years of this felonious nonsense.

Matthew's avatar

How much more evidence is needed for the still roughly 40% of the voting public to see how gullible they are and how easily they are taken in and manipulated? Shocking.

Mary Ellen Sinkiewicz's avatar

I think you overestimate his peak support percentage, Matthew. If he won without voting fraud in 2024, it was by a very small percentage. Tragically, more voters sat out the election than voted.

Matthew's avatar

Récent polls show Trump with a 37 to 40% approval rating. Very low historically but, from my perch, astoundingly high.

All the fools who have likely lost another $100 to this slimeball used car salesman, are probably more than happy to support “the cause” as it bleeds them like a leech. Do you detect sarcasm??🤬

Kathleen Dintaman's avatar

590,000 fools that put $59,000,000 into unnamed pockets.

Finally, a funny column. Thanks for that, Judd, I laughed my head off. How about a bridge? Got anyone of those for sale? Preferably one that was repaired with the Inflation Reduction Act passed by Old Joe?

NubbyShober's avatar

The bridge would have been repaired under the Infrastructure bill. Something that the GOP also viciously tried to prevent being passed.

Katy Bolger's avatar

The bridge at the end of my street did not make the final cut before the money spigot to repair roads and bridges dried up under Twump.

JUDD! Did all the IRA money get spent? Or was it absorbed back into theTwump off shore account?

NubbyShober's avatar

Trump2 clawed back a sizable portion of IRA funding last year. Much of it illegally.

Katy Bolger's avatar

I did not know that but assumed it must have happened. For 18 months I cursed all the highway work being done from New York to New England, and now, trickled down to nothing and those bridges just sit there, closed.

Btw, and please don't think I'm being weird, or in anyway saying this has to do with you, but I had a dream last week where there was a female NubbyShober but I did not see her, but thought (in my dream), I thought Nubby Shober was man. Lol. And we wonder what effect social media has on our brains.

NubbyShober's avatar

In my time, I've heard of seven other Nubby's--two of them dogs. But all are, or were, male.

Which is not to say there aren't a gazillion female NubbyShobers out there, just waiting to reveal themselves, and lovingly transform the world into a Democratic Socialist paradise!

Katy Bolger's avatar

Well, it's actually a great name. And we can only hope that the army of whatever gender Nubbys are out there rise up and, like Shiva, destroy the world and then recreates it in peace, love and democracy.

I'm old enough to remember when Republicans made a big deal about some hard drive laptops with d**k pics on it that a blind computer guy supposedly got from Hunter Biden and something about a gas company whose name the president couldn't pronounce

Pat McCann's avatar

The same ruse Trumps have used for years when taking “deposits” on condos under construction. Cheaters cheat. Liars lie.

Pamela Jolley's avatar

It’d be funny if it weren’t so sad.

Crystal Nipp's avatar

I'm finding it increasingly difficult to feel any pity for the people getting sucked into these ridiculous schemes. At some point people should be on to this bull shit.

Brenda's avatar

Corruption at its finest!!!!

Frau Katze's avatar

Anyone buying a Trump product at this point has to be pretty stupid.

Carolyn Wilson's avatar

No grift is too small for them. No grift is too large. When doing business with the Trump family, the only outcome you be certain of is the grift.

Krista Allen's avatar

I fail to comprehend how it’s legal (I know; like that matters) to completely change T&Cs after suckers—I mean “customers”—have paid their preorder. If only we had a functioning CFPB. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Jim Tragos's avatar

Never forget that these gullible rubes have been advertised as the "real Americans" for many decades.

Also, the fact that this isn't a political scandal pushed to the limits of mainstream media outrage coverage is really another indictment of legacy media.

Thanks Judd, for doing the work an entire institution is too feckless to do.

GingerLee's avatar

No surprise here...those gullible people would benefit from just plain "asking around" but they must venture out of the echo chamber to do that and It's far too late to learn when they are personally thrown under the trump bus.
