“We do not believe it is appropriate to judge members of Congress solely based on their votes on the electoral certification.”

Nothing could be further from the truth. Elected officials are (or should be) chosen on the basis of their perceived ability to exercise good judgment, NOT solely on the basis of how they approach known issues. Anyone who voted against certifying the election has demonstrated an inability to exercise good judgment that can never be overcome, no matter how much they support the auto industry.

I will NEVER buy a Toyota product.

We've been test-driving cars lately, trying to find something my wife and I can both use despite our 16-inch height difference. We hadn't gotten around to Toyota, yet, and now we probably won't, even though I have good memories of both quality and comfort from the Celica I owned in the late 70s.

I am on my 3rd Toyota, never bought a new one, current one is a 2005, never again, tho, not even a ‘pre-owned’!

I gave up on Toyota, GM, and Fiat when they agreed to join with the former creep in suing to overturn CA fuel efficiency standards, and to roll back the EPA standards.

Shameful and really short-sighted to get so highly political in an no-win environment.

Great job. Toyota is lower than a snake. The test is going to be tougher each subsequent quarter that nothing is done to the Congressmen who supported disallowing the electoral college. I hope Morgan Griffith and Ben Cline in VA got big hits to their campaigns.

What's in your wallet means more than they ever realized.

I just hope it can maintain til it really hurts.

Richard Hudson from my old neighborhood is a snake as well. He’s another redneck businessman who rode the bloody wave of 2010, ‘14 and ’16 rethuglicans in my state and then graduated to DC to wreak further damage to the body politic. Big Business had better wise up. The world is burning bit by bit and they can just as easily go up in flames with it if these seditionists allow this country to go with it. If they think they’ll all survive the upheaval, they’ll be bitterly surprised.

A stunning column, Judd. Thank you. I love that you're keeping score on this and letting your readers in on it.

Ibought a Lexus after I had an accident and was not thinking clearly. I was just obsessing about avoiding another accident and it was supposed to be safe. Waiting patiently for my Mustang Mach E! I will never buy another Toyota or Lexus - never! And I won't buy a car from Elon Musk either! How many workers did he kill?

Good luck holding the Koch brothers accountable for not donating to seditious traitors. They only care about making themselves richer.
