I was raised to believe that lying was wrong, that you should tell the truth. I am dumbfounded by the blatant lies by the Republican politicians since TFG rode down the elevator & announced his candidacy for President. I understand that we are all human & can exaggerate or erroneously say something not true, but this goes well beyond honest mistakes/exaggerations. Time and again it has been proven that voter fraud on a grand scale does not exist, yet many Republicans continue to say it does. There ought to be some way to stop these lies. Just because you don’t like the results doesn’t mean there weren’t free and fair elections. “A lie can travel around the world and back again, while the truth is lacing up its shoes.” And the more it is repeated, the more likely that gullible people believe it.
We have an extremely tight election process with optiscan machines and paper ballots stored in the locked machine. Two people open it, two people carry ballots to the Voter Registrar. Where election officials receive them and they are locked up.
Every 2 hours during election days, the ballot count is reported and it matches the votes on the machine.
I am not working the VA election today. But I worked the primaries in June. I know for a Fact our system in Virginia is safe.
Honestly this newsletter is the only context in which I can tolerate hearing another word from/about former WH resident DJT. Which is to say, thank you again JL & Co for more impressive reporting - duly forwarded to my Dem (at least she was in NYC) niece now living, and hopefully registered/voting today, in VA. —RNC’s crying foul before a single vote is cast is the lowest, basest of anti democratic arguments and must not be tolerated.
It is a very, very short read between what is going on now and acts of violence against Democrats. Horrifyingly, I think that it's only a matter of time before we start seeing assassination attempts on Democratic politicians/officials.
The Orange Asscactus and his seditious minions would be fine with that, by the way.
If they win, how could it possibly be legitimate since there's so much fraud going on? I'm sure if Youngkin wins, trump and every republican will immediately call for an audit and a re-count just to be safe. Because they only care about legitimacy, right? What a sad pathetic joke America has become. All because an orange reality TV loser got bored and wasn't getting enough attention in the media.
