Definitely hoping that both Perdue and Loeffler lose, but can I spend a minute ranting and raving about Cal Cunningham. Until his sexting scandal, he had a decent-sized lead on Thom Tillis in North Carolina. I mean, seriously, what the hell was he thinking?! If he'd have just restrained himself and not been a moron, the Democrats would have one more Senate seat and wouldn't have to count on winning both Georgia seats.

As a North Carolinian I must say you’re entirely correct. I keep thinking though how really rich it is that the rednecks and the women especially, can, with a straight face, excoriate Cunningham while voting for the biggest user of women outside of marriage who has ever run for office, period! Talk about a double standard, and when you try to point that out, they give you “that” look. Almost makes me want to blow what few brain cells I have left, out. ALMOST!

Well don't. One day I am coming to NC and find you and go to lunch after this damn pandemic is over.

Sex addiction is a real thing. I’m imagining that’s the real issue.

Not saying that it isn't. It's just so frustrating that it may result in us having to deal with at least two more years of the Evil Turtle as the Senate Majority Leader.

You mentioned restraint, Ian; that’s an issue for addicts.

I must disclose first that I am an investment advisor. The issue of the sale/purchase of stocks by Loeffler and her husband has to do with whether these stocks are in a discretionary or non-discretionary account. She claims that the trades were conducted and initiated by her investment advisor. If these trades were made in a discretionary account, the advisor has the discretion to make the trades, and not necessarily advise the client of the trades. However, the question out there is what discussion the advisor had with his/her clients. There should be documentation of that discussion. However, if the trades were made in a non-discretionary account, no action can be taken without a discussion with the client. If the advisor initiated the trade, it must be marked as a solicited trade. If the client initiated the trade, it must be marked as a non-solicited trade. This is all information that should be available if the issue is pushed.

Nice to know. Wonder why her investigation was quietly closed though and by whom?

A rebuke from FB? How about a donation to Perdue's opponent? How about some ka-ching into the Ossoff coffers? Although, if Ossoff and Warnock are smart, they'll openly eschew any corporate contributions. I expect the combined campaigns to raise millions in small donations in the next week or two.

And for those looking to donate: the most important thing in the Georgia runnoffs is GOTV. Without Stacey Abrams and https://fairfight.com, it's unlikely Perdue would be facing a runoff. You can donate to all three efforts at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/georgiasenate. When giving, you can customize the way your donation gets split.

If you add together the Republican and Libertarian votes in Georgia, Biden came in second. While Georgia is trending Blue, it's maybe not quite as far along as you might think.

This is going to be extra difficult, but thank God for Stacy Abrams.

The two Republicans running for the Senate from Georgia need to be defeated. There is strong evidence that they used information they received in a closed Senate briefing to personally profit from stock purchases & sales, information that was not shared with the public. This corruption should not be rewarded with another tenure in the Senate.

Hounding after all the racist things they've both done might be a more successful hit job than going after their financial chicanery- unless of course you can find data the FBI missed or you can find out the FBI were hampered in their investigation. I wouldn't trust the Senate ethics committee further than I could throw them.

I'd like to hope that Georgia does the right thing and ousts Perdue and Loeffler. Though by a narrow margin and pending a recount, they seem to have made the right choice re the presidential election. Then again, the likes of Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, and Susan Collins just won re-election, so...

I had an anxiety attack just reading this.;) We need the Senate majority! Is there anything we can do if we don't live in the state of Georgia besides donating?

I supported Jaime Harrison with my meager dollars against Graham. I suggest each of us contribute to the two Democratic GA candidates. You know the GOP will be channeling money.

From VA I am going to be chunneling dollars though meager. If all Democrats do so then perhaps we can win.

I got daily calls from GA my daughter used to live there urging her to vote. Sadly she was in Virginia.

Stacey Abrams ran a massive "get out the vote " and she is impressive. Kudos to her.

Thank you Judd for keeping us on the cutting edge.
