Definitely hoping that both Perdue and Loeffler lose, but can I spend a minute ranting and raving about Cal Cunningham. Until his sexting scandal, he had a decent-sized lead on Thom Tillis in North Carolina. I mean, seriously, what the hell was he thinking?! If he'd have just restrained himself and not been a moron, the Democrats would have one more Senate seat and wouldn't have to count on winning both Georgia seats.

I must disclose first that I am an investment advisor. The issue of the sale/purchase of stocks by Loeffler and her husband has to do with whether these stocks are in a discretionary or non-discretionary account. She claims that the trades were conducted and initiated by her investment advisor. If these trades were made in a discretionary account, the advisor has the discretion to make the trades, and not necessarily advise the client of the trades. However, the question out there is what discussion the advisor had with his/her clients. There should be documentation of that discussion. However, if the trades were made in a non-discretionary account, no action can be taken without a discussion with the client. If the advisor initiated the trade, it must be marked as a solicited trade. If the client initiated the trade, it must be marked as a non-solicited trade. This is all information that should be available if the issue is pushed.
