Why is it when people get rich (no matter how), they then think that their wealth allows them to "buy" the social and political changes that they want? They get to thinking that somehow being rich they can now impose the social changes that they want with money. We are still having this battle in our democracy where people, not money, determine what kind of country we want to be. Money does not "buy" most of the things we need most—peace, opportunity, good intentions, friendship, etc., but it sure does screw up all of the things listed above.
