I hate to say it, but I'm not really surprised. If anything, I would be surprised if similar "initiatives" aren't underway in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Florida, Ohio, etc.

I've long said that Trump will not leave the White House voluntarily, and it now appears pretty clear that he will be supported in his efforts to remain President (no matter what the election result may be) by Republican Party officials all across the country.

I am grateful this morning for the number of Republicans announcing their support for Biden/Harris, as Tom Ridge, former Homeland Security official and governor of Pennsylvania, did on Sunday. The thugocracy is still alive and seemingly very well in far too many areas of this country. It appears that the rot continues to be exposed simply because the man who is currently playing at president has succeeded in finding our governmental weak spots and then pouring acid on them with his abysmal appointments. That the state legislatures with big monied interests in them are jockeying to maintain the status quo should be no surprise. Trump has meant a second golden age for all these neo tycoons who have no social conscience. It’s always about that golden bottom line and always will be until drastic changes are made from the top down.

I've lived through the Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War, 9/11and 3 impeachments and I've not seen our country as divided as it is now. "United we stand, divided we fall."
