I'm the poster, and what surprised me was that there wasn't a coordinated response from sleep doctors.

Whoops. Humans can't multi-task and I know this but sometimes I still try. You mean from doctors reacting to news about the recall event? I believe Philips is the manufacturer that issued a recall. My machine is from ResNed. My sleep doctor did mention something about that recall the night I did the original sleep study and asked had I heard of it? Of course that was hardly a coordinated response. In my opinion, it's like any other medical procedures, equipment, etc. All are designed to siphone off your money. They make a big noise about keeping the machine clean then send literature on a magical device that does it for you. But that device costs $288! And the list goes on. I'm buying and leasing all kinds of stuff to keep me going and once I get my bilateral lung transplant, it still won't end. There will just be more and different new stuff! Anyway, I didn't mean to go on. Thanks for listening. Lol.
